Vanessa Mdee quits the music industry. The singer says she intends to focus on her relationship with movie star and herself.

The celebrated Tanzanian singer made the announcement in her new podcast deep dive. She first announced her intentions a few days ago on Instagram.

“This is my truth … today’s podcast release will answer all your questions. Where have I been? Why the changes? What have I been up to? ” read her caption in part.

Demonic???

This revelation has shocked many since it was never anticipated. In her podcast, she says, “the reason why I have to leave the industry is that I needed to choose my life, the music industry is demonic”. The world-renowned musician breaks down as she pours her heart out. She explains that she hasn’t lived her truth since venturing into the entertainment industry. “The entertainment industry is everything you need to see because they sell it as you should see it. Vanessa Mdee blames the entertainment industry where she has been since her late teenage years. “I remember having a panic attack on one MTV show” She sobs as she explores her past and how detrimental it has been to her health. “Five years down the line, it felt like a spin cycle,” she expresses how bad the entertainment industry is.

I love music but…

“I looove music, music is so beautiful to me, music is so fulfilling to me”

“But I’ll honestly tell you that I have no desire to do anything that is music industry related. I have no desire to go to another award show… no desire to keep up a facade… no desire to be a pseudo person which I truly became and I could not recognize myself…inside I was dying…became a robot and I don’t want to be a robot. I was unhappy, I have no desire to be unhappy anymore. More than ever I had moments of anxiety and depression” She moans that she was a depressed alcoholic and couldn’t even recognize herself anymore. Because she woke up every day trying to just get by. “I refuse to do it”.

The beautiful former TV presenter, Vanessa Mdee goes ahead to explain how love saved her. “He said things to me that I could never hear from anyone, only from my earth Angel.” She says excitedly.

There has been mixed reactions from her decision but she had answered them in advance. “Now my fans are probably asking themselves right now are you gonna never sing again? Are we never gonna never see you perform? Let me reiterate. I love music, I love to create, I love to perform. I’m a vessel. This is what I was brought on earth to be, but maybe I was a vessel to be here in this moment to have gone through everything that I have gone through so that I can tell you most honestly the truth about things you will never hear somewhere else,” Vanessa Mdee explained.
