He is the new face of Magical Kenya.
Kipchoge appointment
The Kenyan Tourism Board gave Eliud Kipchoge the esteemed position of destination ambassador for Magical Kenya.
He’s set to start this month and his job will have him promote Kenya as a tourist destination, both locally and internationally.
“Kenya is well known as the home of champions hence sports form part of our strategy to popularise the country’s tourism offering. As a board, we have invested in locally hosted sporting events like the magical Kenya open, The World Rally Championship and world athletics championships, among others through sponsorship. Now we turn our attention to events held on the global stage that Kenyans excel in and there is no better collaboration than with Kenya’s Marathoners.”– KTB Executive Dr. Betty Radier.

Kipchoge’s accomplishments
Because some of you may not know who Eliud Kipchoge is,
I’ll just drop a few facts to point you in the right direction.
He has been described as the “greatest marathoner of all time.”
Bagging a whooping 12 gold medals of the 13 marathons that he has participated in, he has gone ahead and defy the odds in setting a world marathon record of 2:01:39
