Earthquake tena?
Remember when we all joked and asked what August had to offer when it came to unusual events?
Honestly, I guess 2020 (also currently known as Jumanji) decided to surprise us again this year.
Residents of Nairobi and Mombasa reported the tremor at around 8pm.
However, this is not a new case residents around Lake Baringo reported cases of tremors every night for the past two weeks.
The 6.0 magnitude earthquake was felt in other areas. These include Kilindoni, Dar es Salaam, Morogoro among other areas.
Just to put this into perspective,
Remeber the Mai Mahiu tremor that cracked the highway last year?
That was a 4.8 magnitude t.
Both cases come as a surprise. This is mainly owing to the fact that Kenya doesn’t have earthquake reports often.
Kenyans took to Twitter to talk about the tremor which was trending.
